Glasper House Dedication

Joe Evans, Board President

On Sunday, March 3rd, Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County dedicated a new home for the Glasper family. Board of Directors President Joe Evans welcomed the crowd of friends and family and thanked everyone for their contribution to helping the Glasper family attain their dream of home ownership.

The Glasper family was introduced by Liz Courville, Family Services Director. Liz congratulated LaToya and presented her with a key to her new home.

Pastor Malveaux

LaToya Glasper’s pastor and uncle, the reverend Roy L. Malveaux, performed the house blessing, leading the assembled friends and family in prayer for protection and blessing on the home and its occupants.

Cathy Caldwell of the Spindletop Stitchers, a chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, presented LaToya with a handmade sampler commemorating her new home.
